Alstom is a multinational company which holds interests in the electricity generation and rail transport markets. See the website for more information. The lunch lecture will cover two interesting topics:
The first part will be about secondary systems of Alstom. With secondary systems we mean the installations in the power station that do not directly provide for the distribution of electricity, but are essential for proper operation of the station. What are the trends for secondary systems? Driven by the transition in the energy world all kinds of solution to make our energy systems more sustainable and reliable are invented rapidly. The question is which solutions are interesting and will be applied.
Innovaties and smart technologies are very important for companies like Alstom. However, innovations and technologies on their own don’t produce any money. Therefore an Account/Sales Manager from Alstom will tell something about the commercial side of the job. He will explain how they sell their products and systems at Alstom and how to combine technical and commercial thinking to become successful in selling products and systems.
