During the Carnaval break in February Waldur organizes a 5-day study trip to Stockholm, Sweden. Tuesday 17 February we will gather around 18:00 pm at Eindhoven Station and we will back around 18:00 pm on Sunday 22 February we will be back again at the station.
The first two days of the trip we will visit two major locations of ABB. We will visit a centre for HVDC, high power switches and transformers, a corporate research centre for high voltage, high power, motors, HVDC etc. and a production center for electric motors, machines and robotics.
ABB is one of the largest engineering companies in the world, operating mainly in robotics, power electronics, energy systems, and automation technology areas. It is also the world’s larger builder of electricity grids. Wind generators, solar power interverters, AC transmissions systems, HVDC systems, industrial robots, circuit breakers, switches, power cables, cable systems and much more they design and manufacture.
Thursday evening we will arrive at Stockholm center, where everybody is free to go (maybe watch an ice-hockey game?). Friday will be a more chill day with only an half day visit to the KTH Royal Institute of Technology at Stockholm. Saturday everybody is free to enjoy the nice city center of Stockholm. We will look for an activity, but it will not be mandatory to join. Sunday morning around 10:00 will we leave from our hotel to the airport again.
The cost of this trip for participants is € 250. The other significant part of the costs are contributed by Waldur. This fee includes all transport, hotels and visits. Also all breakfasts, most lunches and some dinners are included.

You will be contacted if you are selected and will then have to hand over additional information and the signed the participation agreement in time.
